Inside the Narra Meeting Room: Smart Technology in 10 Seconds

Imagine walking into a meeting room that wakes up before you even sit down. The lights adjust, the displays switch on, and the system prepares itself without anyone touching a button. It feels less like office tech and more like stepping into the future. Let’s take a look at how the Narra Meeting Room does all of this in ten seconds.
What is the Narra Meeting Room & Why is it Called the 10 Seconds Room?
The Narra Meeting Room is a smart, fully automated meeting space designed to make collaboration effortless. Using Crestron’s control system, it brings together AI cameras, automated settings, occupancy sensors, and wireless sharing to create a smooth experience for everyone in the room or joining online.
It’s called the “10 Seconds Room” because that’s all it takes for the space to be ready when someone walks in. An occupancy sensor triggers the system to:
- Turn on the lights
- Wake up displays and projectors
- Activate cameras and microphones, including speaker and presenter tracking
- Prepare wireless presentation receivers for instant sharing
Everything happens automatically, so there’s no setup, no waiting, and no fiddling with controls. The Narra Room shows how smart technology can remove the usual friction from meetings, making hybrid collaboration smoother, faster, and more productive for everyone involved
A Multi-Camera Intelligent System

One Beyond Cameras
The Narra Meeting Room is equipped with 7 One Beyond PTZ cameras, each with 12x optical zoom, strategically placed to cover all angles of the room. Their purpose is to enable the Crestron Siteline experience, where every participant is captured automatically, no matter where they are seated.
Camera placement:
- 2 at the front
- 2 on the left side
- 2 on the right side
- 1 at the back (Presenter Camera)
All cameras work in combination with Sennheiser TeamConnect ceiling microphones, which pick up voices during the meeting. The 6 cameras on the sides and front provide Visual Cues, so when someone speaks, the audio signal triggers the relevant camera to zoom in and highlight them.
Meanwhile, the Presenter Camera is programmed to follow the presenter across the front area, keeping them in focus during presentations or workshops. This setup ensures that every participant, whether seated at the side or the back of the room, is clearly visible to remote attendees.
Hudly Camera
This camera provides a static, full-room view. It doesn’t move, but it gives remote participants context, showing the entire room and all attendees in a single frame.
Together with the other cameras, it helps create a dynamic and natural meeting experience that feels seamless for everyone involved.
Advanced Collaboration Tools for Hybrid Meetings

Logitech Scribe: Smart Whiteboard Sharing
Logitech Scribe makes physical whiteboards fully visible in hybrid meetings. Its AI-enhanced imaging picks up everything you write so remote participants see the board clearly in real time, even if someone is standing in front of it.
Key features:
- Captures whiteboard content in real time
- Detects colours, diagrams, and sticky notes
- Presenter remains visible without blocking the board
- Works with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and Google Meet Rooms
Vaddio Document Camera: Clear Sharing for Physical Materials
The room also includes a ceiling-mounted Vaddio document camera for sharing printed documents, product samples, and other physical materials. A blue laser marker guides placement, while the camera zooms in to show details clearly on the main screen.
Key features:
- Downward-facing camera for physical documents and objects
- Blue laser guide for accurate positioning
- Optical zoom for fine details
- Real-time display on the room’s main screen
Crestron AirMedia: Effortless Wireless Presentations
Crestron AirMedia enables wireless content sharing without installing any apps. Users simply connect through the room’s IP address or web portal, making it easy for both internal teams and guests to present from their own devices.
Key features:
- Wireless sharing without software installation
- Plug-and-play experience for users
- Connects via IP address or browser
- Works across laptops, tablets, and mobile devices
One-Tap Room Control with Crestron Table Tap
All room functions, including cameras, microphones, presentation inputs, lighting and displays, are managed from a single Crestron control panel on the table. This means users do not need multiple remotes or devices.
With the table tap you can:
- Switch between camera modes such as speaker tracking, presenter tracking and wide-room view
- Control lighting and displays
- Start or join meetings
- Choose the input source for wireless presentation
Crestron Control is integrated with major unified-communications platforms including Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms and Google Meet, allowing this single interface to manage both meeting controls and the room’s AV and environmental settings.
The table tap functions as a unified control centre. It removes clutter, reduces complexity and makes every meeting simpler and faster to start. This is ideal for modern hybrid workspaces that value efficiency, consistency and user friendliness.
